The Castaway XL Packraft is an exceptional choice for paddlers seeking a durable choice for gear-hauling, recreational lake fishing, as well as ocean, lakes, and other Flat – Class 1 paddling. The Castaway XL’s added length and removable tracking fin allows for better tracking for longer distance paddling. It is exceptionally durable, constructed of the same high-quality material as our Whitewater Series of packrafts. The Castaway XL is a two chamber packraft which provides more safety than the traditional single chamber packraft.
IMPORTANT: We made a small production of 2019 Castaway XL an updated the Backband from the Inflatable Backband (2016-2017), Inflatable Seat - 4 Strap (2016-2017), and the Inflatable Floor (2016-2017) to our EVA Backband (2020 - 2021), Inflatable Seat (2018 - 2021), and Inflatable Floor with Integrated Seat - XL (2019). The photos shown are from 2018 and do not include these updated parts.

Packrafting Idaho's Remote Alpine Lakes
A late snow season didn't deter these adventurers from their 6.5 mile hike (enjoying a 1600 foot elevation gain) to find their perfect paddle. With beautiful granite spires surrounding them on all sides, the peaceful feeling out on the calm water made the trek more than worth it. They spend the exploring on their Kokopelli Packrafts to hiking between lakes.
