The American Packrafting Association (APA) provides education and organizes events to promote safety and build skills to recreate more confidently on land and water.

Everyone is immediately welcome at our local and national gatherings thanks to our wildly welcoming community. Enthusiasts of all levels find inspiration for bolder adventures, and have the opportunity to influence the development of APA.

Packrafting is a growing sport and APA advocates for responsible stewardship of our public lands. APA members are passionate about shaping the future of packrafting and championing responsible recreation.

One of the biggest community events is the The American Packrafting Association (APA) Packraft RoundUp. The Round Up is an annual, multi-day event that brings together packrafters of all skill levels for a combination of social activities, workshops, paddling opportunities, and community-building. It is the longest-running packrafting gathering of its kind in North America and serves as a major fundraiser and community-building event for the APA.
