A packhorse of a packraft.

Paddling with your dog? Showing a friend around the lake? Want to impress the love of your life on a sunset tour? Got a mountain of gear (or a mountain to climb)? The Twain is your go-to for flat water accessed alpine climbs, or a casual paddle with your pup (or pups).

Our first canoe style packraft, the two-person Twain allows you and a friend (two-legged or four) to easily enjoy the water. It features our 840d DuPontTM Kevlar® Aramid-Nylon Blend reinforced floor system, Leafield D7 valves, a dual chambered design for added security and rigidity on the water, and a 9in (23cm) removable tracking fin. The American Standard Fin Plate accommodates most e-motors for when you’ve got a lot of water to cover, or just feel like taking it easy!

At 13.6lb (6.2kg), the Twain packs down to the size of a large sleeping bag, and takes up minimal room in your gear closet. Included is almost everything you need for a day on the water: Inflation Bag and Inflation Tube, 2x Compression Strap Sets, 2x EVA Backbands, 2x Inflatable Seats, and an Emergency Repair Kit. With the same innovative Kokopelli material as our whitewater boats and our Rogue Series user-friendly design, the Twain is perfect for everything from recreational day paddles to week-long canoe explorations. The Twain can handle lakes and class 1 rapids.

Add the optional TiZip zipper to store gear inside your packraft for multi-day trips.

Twain 2-person Kokopelli Packraft

"I bought this to kayak with my dog. Packs down very small. Plenty of room for a 40# border collie. Tracks great in flat water. I probably could have gotten away with the single person, but wanted extra space for my gear. I love this boat! It’s easy to inflate and set up, and even easier to deflate and pack. It packs down to the size of a sleeping bag, and seems very durable. I may get rid of my hard plastic kayak."

Mountain Lakes and Rivers

"I’m a beginner packrafter that purchased the Twain to take my dog with me. We have taken it on multiple mountain lakes and rivers and have been thoroughly impressed with the durability and comfortability. The TiZip is a wonderful feature and we’ve been pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the adjustable backrests are. The only hiccup is the solid plastic support for the fin at the bottom of the raft limits how tightly you can roll it. We haven’t found the fin to be a necessity for what we’re doing so I’d rather be able to roll to a smaller profile. Overall a great purchase though."

Loving this packraft so far!

"Loving this packraft so far! It's a bit snug for two people, but the perfect size for my dog and I when I want a quick float. I have yet to take it on an overnight trip, but it should have great capacity for extra gear as well. Tracks surprisingly well with the fin, even with only one person steering and paddling. Feels solid and durable, I haven't been concerned about bumping some rocks and logs while floating, or my dog's nails."

Another Great Kokopelli Product

"The Twain two-person packraft is well made, albeit I understand why it is classified more for flat water. We have primarily used it for non-rapid specific river runs, and it has been excellent, including in some early season fairly fast water. It is constructed a bit lighter in material than an XPD, but is of very solid quality. The challenge with running it in the river is absolutely the length in relation to the width, but it is reasonably maneuverable. If you were to take this in rapids beyond Class I, it would be challenging, but I believe a highly skilled operator would tell you it can be done. Overall a really fun, great raft!"

Great for Flat Water

"Great packraft to haul 2 people and all their gear across a lake or down an easy stream. It was capable of carrying 500 lbs (2 Adults + Gear), but the freeboard was pretty low, although I don't think it would have been much higher with a lighter load. I would consider a different tandem raft if you going into any waters above class I. Novice paddlers might run into some issues with the low freeboard if they hit an eddy and get spun perpendicular to the water flow. . . it is real easy to drop the side of the raft low enough to fill it with water. While it isn't rated for it, I have taken it through several class III rapids. . . There was a LOT of bailing and frequent hang-ups on the rocks."

Me and my big dog

"I'm 6'0 and have 60 pound lab and I got this boat. It fits both of us so perfect!"

Couples boat!

"Love this boat! The best part is I sit in the back and pretend to paddle and let my wife do all the work. JK, but for real this thing is amazing and has let us spend a lot more quality time together."

Definitely Met expectations of quality, performance, and ease of use

"The kokopelli Twain is everything it says it is. Exceptionally Light weight, very easy to inflate (only took a few minutes, although I used a personal hand pump, because the packaging only included a bag, but the bag is optimal for packing and taking with you on the kayak) the Twain handled decent on the water, we were on the current river in Missouri, which it is a consistently flowing river but it has some tight spots and branches and rock bottom to deal With. The kokopelli is a thin but sturdy material, I could want for thicker feel but can’t ask for too much without trading for more weight. We rode with two dogs( 35lbs and 55 lbs) in and out much of the time. And had plenty of room"
