Twain 3rd Generation

Our Twain has been our ultralight tandem packraft designed to get you and a friend out into the wilderness, coastal bays and inlets, mellow rivers or easy access local lakes. But we totally redesigned it to make it sleeker and faster than ever before. 

The key new features include a new hydrodynamic bow and stern making this our fastest packraft ever. The new design will make covering longer distances even more enjoyable. As well as making this the new go to packraft for adventure racing.

The 3rd Generation Twain still features 210 D TPU tubes and our 840d DuPontTM Kevlar® Aramid-Nylon Blend reinforced floor, 2 Leafield D7 valves, a dual chambered design for added security and rigidity on the water, and a 4.5in removable tracking fin. We used a smaller fin plate to make the Twain even lighter and more compact.

Paddling with your dog? Showing a friend around the lake? Want to impress the love of your life on a sunset tour? Got a mountain of gear (or a mountain to climb)? The Twain is your go-to for flat water accessed alpine climbs, or a casual paddle with your pup (or pups). 

The Twain can be paddled with a partner or alone. If paddling alone we recommend sliding the front seat back so you are in the center. If you are paddling alone with a dog or a big gear bag then sit in the back seat and slide it forward until you are evenly balanced. If you are storing gear inside the tizip and paddling alone, sit in the front seat and slide it back since the gear weight will be in the back half of the packraft.

At 13.6lb (6.2kg), the Twain packs down to the size of a large sleeping bag, and takes up minimal room in your gear closet. Included is almost everything you need for a day on the water: Inflation Bag and Inflation Tube, 2x Compression Strap Sets, 2x EVA Backbands, 2x Inflatable Seats, 1x 4.5 in tracking fin and an Emergency Repair Kit. With the same innovative Kokopelli material as our whitewater boats and our Rogue Series user-friendly design, the Twain is perfect for everything from recreational day paddles to week-long canoe explorations. The Twain can handle lakes and class 1 rapids.

Add the optional TiZip zipper to store gear inside your packraft for multi-day trips. The Twain is a 2 chambered boat meaning there is a front air chamber with a valve and a rear air chamber with a valve and 2 baffles separating the cambers in the middle on the left and right sides. The TiZip only access the rear chamber offering about 90 liters of gear storage.

To install the tracking fin push it into the fin plate and then slide it backwards until it clicks into place. For longer trips or extra security you can use a 3/32 allen key to tighten the two grub screws on the plate.
