The updated XPD has shed over 3 lbs of weight and now comes fully equipped with the Delta Series Roll Top Backpack, Kokopelli Alpine Lake Paddle, six stainless steel D-Ring attachment points, Nano Barrel Pump, inflatable seat, 4.5 inch removable fin, commercial grade Leafed D7 valve, two compression straps and repair kit.

More durable and more adventure, right out of the box. The XPD is still, the ultimate entry-level packraft package.

The rugged XPD weighs in at just 10.8lb (4.8kg), packs down small enough to fit in a backpack, and is ideal for entry-level paddlers, lakes, hunting, multi-sport adventures, car camping, weekend-warriors, and anyone looking to (literally) tear it up out there!

To install the tracking fin push it into the fin plate and then slide it backwards until it clicks into place. For longer trips or extra security you can use a 3/32 allen key to tighten the two grub screws on the plate.

Updates to the XPD are Spot On!

"This is my second XPD and the first was the original design. The changes on the updated version are noticeable and particularly the weight reduction. The fin system for flat water has been redesigned as well. Other than that, my review would be consistent with that of the original version. It is a tough, well built raft and is great in the river. The updates have effectively remedied the only concern I had with this raft, and that was the weight issue (the updated version is 3 pounds lighter). The other really positive highlight with the XPD is this version is packaged up with an introductory paddle (Alpine Lake paddle), a very robust inflation pump, and a very solid backpack bag. If you are looking for a first packraft, this is a great place to start. The only other feature that I wish Kokopelli had included with this raft is the backrest that I believe comes with pretty much every other Kokopelli raft. Otherwise, great work on the updated version by Kokopelli"

The size is perfect for one person, it’s easy to inflate, so lightweight, stable in the water and sturdy. And it’s actually easy to put it all back into the provided backpack. Great, with a couple *

"Great, but a few things… The placement of the seat strap retainer is not good (unless you have a full life vest on, I guess). It is perfectly placed to dig into your back and makes for a painful paddling experience. Was there no R&D on this? Also, my seat strap broke on the second use so I’ll probably just take the buckle off anyway. Be careful with rocks and the floor material, I managed to scratch it deep enough that it punctured through. I wish it was a touch thicker since this is the highest contact zone. A tiny Allen key for fin installation would’ve been nice too, I should’ve checked before I took it to the water. Still, no regrets."
