Meet the Rodeo PVC: Our Most Advanced, Durable Packraft Yet

Back in 2015, we created the world’s first self-bailing packraft. Two years later, we followed it up with a wild little boat that laid the groundwork for what would become the Rodeo (at the time we called the Nirvana Pro). Now, after 7 years of testing, redesigning, and pushing it to the limit, we’ve built the ultimate packraft for charging rapids, surfing river waves, and dropping waterfalls.

Enter the 2025 Rodeo Self-Bailing PVC.
This latest evolution is built from ultra-tough, abrasion-resistant PVC—the same burly material used in full-size whitewater rafts. It’s stiff, holds higher PSI, and is made to take a beating.

The Rodeo sets the new standard for whitewater performance in a packraft. Period.

At the core of the Rodeo Advanced Whitewater Design (AWD) is a new 5-panel construction with increased waterline that enables fast straight-line speed and quick edge-to-edge transitions. A brand-new advanced whitewater rocker profile (AWRP) incorporates an aggressive bow design allowing you to boof bigger hits and surf steeper faces all while keeping your hair dry. The stern features an increased surface area, and increased loading, helping to clear retentive features. Lastly, the AWD Advanced Floor is a product of the hybrid-hull design and vertical I-Beam inflatable floor. This combination provides a smooth transition from primary to secondary stability and allows you aggressively carve waves and eddies.

Brand new to the packrafting world, the Rodeo features ultra tough 1000D reinforced PVC  All kitted out, the Rodeo weighs in at an impressive 20.2 pounds and packs down to 39x11 inches.

The Rodeo is rated for class V whitewater and is the most advanced packraft on the market. It's the closet you can get in performance to a traditional hard sided whitewater kayak, but at 1/2 the weight.

The PVC Rodeo is available with or without the TiZip storage zipper. Adding the zipper allows you to store over 100 Liters of camping gear inside the air chamber of the boat for mulitday trips.

If you are new to whitewater packrafting we recommend starting with our Nirvana or Recon series packrafts. The Nirvana and Recon are more stable with a pontoon style hull and great for class 1 to 3-4 rapids. The Rodeo isn’t as stable with the curved hull design but once you get the hang of it, the Rodeo will take you for the ride of your life.

Top-Side Mount Valve Inflation Point

Save a horse, ride a rodeo!

"This is hands down the most fun Packraft I’ve paddled in my 7 years of packrafting. I just took it down the middle fork of the salmon for 5 days with 7 other packrafters and it was the favorite among our entire group. The rocker, the wave punching, the tracking on flat water, the carving transitions through rapids, wow, wow, wow! I’m selling my recons to buy more rodeos for the family because this one rips! The tie-zip was amazing too! 5 days, all gear stowed safely inside including our hot tent and stove. Giddy-up this rodeo is a flipping blast!"

Very impressed!

"Kokopelli was out at the US National Whitewater Center doing demos last week and I had the opportunity to take it for a few runs. I was very doubtful in its capabilities since it’s an inflatable but it really impressed me. It was very responsive, surfed amazing, and also way faster than I expected. Definitely adding ones to my collection of kayaks soon!"

Hayden (5/5)

So fun!!!

"I got to demo this at the American Packraft Round Up in Idaho this year. I took it down the Canyon section of the south of the Payette with Tristan. This boat performed perfectly, it handled all the rapids great and was way more fun than my other packraft. Ordering one next week!"

Ready for the Grand Canyon

"Just got a Rodeo for the Grand Canyon! I took it out for a quick trip on the Ark and I loved it. Cant thank the Kokopelli team enough for all the tips and advise, so glad I went with you guys. I'll report back in a few months after my trip!"

Really fun!

"This boat is way faster than other packrafts. I entered the Packraft race at Clack Fest in Oregon and got to demo it. Gotta say it was really fun and a fast boat. Way faster than my Recon. Can’t wait to grab one now that it’s released."

Devin H. (5/5)

Surfs up!

"The Rodeo Rips! Very responsive, fun, playful, blah blah blah. I could ramble all day about this packraft but most importantly it surfs amazing."
