The Platte kayak is the new lightweight, packable option for adventure paddlers looking for the best balance of paddling performance, weight saving materials, durability and portability.
The two-piece design packs down to an impressively small size and weighs in at 24lb when fully equipped with key accessories (a minimum boat only weight of 13.75lb.) 1000 denier reinforced PVC construction makes up the two pontoons and a removable drop-stitch floor provides stiffness, added flotation, and enhances tracking capabilities.
The Platte comes with everything you need for a trip on the water: supportive molded EVA foam, multi-point adjustable seat, two bungee cargo sections on the bow and stern, 20 D-ring attachment points, bow and stern splash guards, foot block, 4-piece paddle, Nano Barrel pump, emergency repair kit and two tracking fins (5in front and 9in back) and a mesh duffle bag to carry it all in.

"This is my favorite kayak. I've owner and paddled almost every other brand out there and just discovered Kokopelli. I saw someone paddling it and asked them about it and they love it too. "I purchased in Spring of 24. I have taken it out almost 50 times. It is light enough where I can load it onto my pool noodle "roof rack," and carry it to the launch point by myself. I purchased an electric air pump that basically tops off the PSI before I take it out. Fill time is less than 30 seconds. This kayak purchase has opened up an entire world to me, and I could not be happier. My husband is looking to buy a second one so he can join me on these adventures."

"I purchased 2 kayaks, which included bags (and other accessories). Unfortunately, 1 of the bags is much smaller than the other and the kayak and necessary accessories do not fit in the bag after being used. I contacted customer support 2 times regarding this issue and no one has responded."

"I knew I was going to buy either a Kokopelli Platte or Platte Plus inflatable kayak. I would be bringing my dog with me on every adventure and had lots of questions that were mostly dog related. For every question I posed pre-purchase, I was helped with really great advice. After I purchased the Platte, I realized by moving the seat back, the foot block would be unreachable, so I asked even more questions-I was pushing the limit. Everyone was great, especially Tristan who went way out of his way to help me figure out a way to modify the foot block. Smooth sailing! In today's day and age, Customer Support has become 'Customer No Support', an A. I. Chatbot nightmare. These guys are great people and they are happy to help."

- Does the fact that the foot brace is in a fixed position cause the boat to be out of trim when used by a short (5'4") paddler?
- Hey Kevin, no, you can adjust the seat forward or back to get it into the right position to brace off of.
- Hello! Can the Platte-Plus be used solo? Is it good for class 3 and 4 rapids?
- Platte Plus can be used solo for sure! It is not for rapids above class 1 because it is designed as a lake kayak.
- Which glue do I use to repair holes in platte?
- Stabond or Cliftons are the best glues. Email us and we can send you more instructions.
- Recently purchased two Platte kayaks. Is there a spraydeck for them similar to the Moki R-Deck series?
- Most people didn't use the spraydeck on the Mokis, so we decided to save weight and remove them for the Plattes. But we do have a few packrafts with spray decks.
- Can the Platte have legs straps attached to it like my reckon .
- Hey Armin, The Platte is just rated for lakes, oceans, and class 1 rapids. So adding thigh straps wouldn't be necessary since it's not a whitewater kayak. But you could glue on some D-Rings if you wanted to add thigh straps.
