The Twain-Lite is the new go-to flatwater packraft for multi-day adventures when you need just a bit more room for your bike, gear, or a 4-legged friend. The Twain-Lite excels on lakes, calm oceans and inlets, and flat, slow-moving water (Class 1). The new bow and stern profiles provide more efficient tracking and maintain speed on flat water.

It features a 840d nylon reinforced TPU floor, Leafield D7 valve, and a 4.5in (11.4cm) removable tracking fin. Optional TiZip zipper is available to store gear inside your packraft for multi-day trips.

To install the tracking fin push it into the fin plate and then slide it backwards until it clicks into place. For longer trips or extra security you can use a 3/32 allen key to tighten the two grub screws on the plate.

HELP & TIPS

ADVENTURE REDEFINED

The Explorers Boat

Light is one thing, but being a packable, durable, gear-hauler while still being lightweight is another. The Twain-Lite is designed with the explorer and all their gear in mind. Extra deck space to accommodate bikes and bags. Supportive inflatable seat and 4-way adjustable back support provide comfort. Removable tracking fin for stability and tracking on long paddles, and optional TiZip Zipper to store all of your gear for a week. Add in the 840d TPU reinforced floor and nylon tie downs and the Twain-Lite is set for any expedition you throw at it.

MORE TO EXPLORE

LESS DRAG = MORE SPEED

The Twain-Lite features a piercing bow and increased waterline that reduces drag and increases speed. The sleek 5-panel construction excels at maintaining momentum which allows for greater efficiency per stroke. Perfect for marathon days on the water.

COMFORT

ROOM TO MOVE

The larger hull design naturally lent itself to more overall room. This means a wider and longer, more comfortable cockpit that can accommodate extra gear, larger coolers and tackle boxes, an extra fur friend or youngster.

Torqued Leafield D7 Valve

Torqued, not welded. This ensures maximum repairability no matter where you are in the backcountry.

SECURE TIE-DOWNS

Mil-Spec nylon gear loops for securing your bike, or other gear. Four on the bow and two on the stern.

Great packraft except for the backband

"I've had a Rogue Lite for seven years and I love it, but I've thinking for some time about buying a longer packraft, to get more speed and to carry an ocassional passenger. I considered several options, like the Alpacka Zephyr or the MRS Nomad, but I finally decided for the Twain Lite because of my experience with the Rogue Lite. I bought it through Kanu Online and I received it at the end of April. I had a three day weekend because of the 1st of May. The sea was not in its best mood with 1 metre waves, but I have paddled in similar conditions with the Rogue Lite, so I started my Twain Lite's maiden trip. . . One of the criticisms of this packraft in reviews is the design of the backband and its attachments to the boat, and I found that is absolutely true: if you tighten them enough for the bakband to stay in its place, the packraft sags right behind the paddler's back. The crease is almost in the waterline and it's like an invitation for the waves that catch the stern to get into the cockpit. . . ¡and they do!. The Spanish word for cockpit of a kayack or sailing dinghy is "bañera", which also means "bathtube". . . Spanish idiom is wise, because 15 minutes after paddling with one metre waves following me, the cockpit looked like a bathtub, completely full of water. At least, even seriously overloaded, the Twain Lite kept moving and still felt responsive. I decided to ditch the backband, and I imporvised a new bakcrest by placing my dry bag between me and the stern complementing it with an inflatable seat from an old Sevylor boat. The result was wonderful: the boat didn't sag, I felt confortable and the Twain Lite could release its full potential, which is a lot. It behaved beautifully, even with one metre waves, and my subjetive impression is that it's fater than the Rogue Lite. After three days paddling it, my conclusion is that the Twain Lite is a grat packraft and it would be even better if the backband design issues were corrected. Kokopelli, ¿what are you waiting for?"

Tall guy and big dog

"Love this boat! I’m 6’2 and paddle with my 60 pound lab and we fit great in it!"

Perfect for kid fishing in lakes.

"Over this design is fantastic. This boat packs smaller and tracks significantly straighter than I expected. I was a bit surprised that paddle strokes aren’t weird even though the boat is a lot wider than a hard shell. It was also quite a bit faster than I expected. I mostly got this to get my girls into fishing. It is a 10 out of 10 for backcountry lake fishing with a 5 and 7 year old. Spin fishing with one kid in the bow works great. Trolling with a kayak is weird and maybe not the best. The only complaints are, the fin was gone on our test run and the seat belt ends weren’t treated. They frayed and I had to burn them."

Twain lite review

"I purchased this raft for my wife and she is very satisfied with this raft. We would highly recommend these products for any adventures you may go on."

Great Twain boat

"We changed the order and it’s a Twain that I use for the Sodog and I to paddle with. Had it the river this week and it’s nice to cruise around with. Sodog approved. Picture is from a lake by the house."

Great size. Wish they would make a Kevlar version

"I own a rogue lite and this twain lite. I love the size of the twain lite, but I wish they made a version with the Kevlar floor for durability. Would have been nice if the fin fit e motors too. I knew this noat lacked these features going in, but the size perfectly checked some other boxes their other boats do not. I have not had a chance to use it yet but I hope it tracks better amd glides better than my rogue lite. I did not get the regular twain with the Kevlar floor because I figured it would not track any better than mybrogue lite."

Def stoked

"Got this for flat water stuff in Alaska specifically for bringing the child with us. Great stable boat. Light enough for our applications so far. Easy to setup. Stoked on the extra space for kid."

Callen h. (5/5)

Great, lightweight boat

"I am small & have always had a hard time lifting boats into or onto the trunk. This is the perfect boat for me. I keep it rolled up in my trunk for unexpected adventures."

Fast and Roomy Packraft

"Paddled the Twain-Lite loaded and unloaded on everything from flatwater reservoirs to mellow class I rivers and this thing is a treat to paddle. Tons of room in the bow for your legs, gear, bike, etc.! Paddles much better when the bow is actually loaded down, so if you don't plan to carry much on the river or are looking for more of a day float packraft, I'd look at different models. I don't love where the backband attaches to the stern, as it creates some pressure on the raft walls no matter how well you inflate it. Otherwise, a great packraft for getting out on some short overnight float trips or for bike shuttling!"

J. D. (4/5)

fast and straight!

"Just got this packraft, I was pretty hesitant since it's brand new and there's no reviews about it. But it is faster and tracks better than my rogue lite. I love the new longer sleek shape. I don't think the tracking fin helps much but it is a nice extra feature. I like the longer size too because my dog can come along with me more comfortably now!"
